Friday’s suicide assault in Karachi’s Landhi neighbourhood was sharply denounced by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, who also praised the prompt police response that prevented deaths.
The president and prime minister both made speeches in which they stated that the prompt response taken by the police prevented a significant number of deaths and reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to eliminating terrorism from the nation.
“We shall confront terrorism together as a nation. The president declared that the miscreants would be exterminated from the nation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also decided that unless terrorism was completely eradicated and all evil attempts to undermine the nation’s peace were foiled, the government would not stand by.
