US encourages Pakistan’s economic reforms

Vedant Patel, the chief deputy spokesperson for the US State Department, told reporters in Washington on Thursday that Pakistan is encouraged by the US to prioritise and broaden economic reforms in order to overcome its own economic difficulties.

 

According to him, the Pakistani finance minister is visiting the US as part of a schedule of meetings with non-governmental organisations as well as other US government agencies. He also had a meeting with high ranking State Department officials.

In response to a query, Vedant Patel stated that Pakistan is still a crucial ally of the US in a variety of fields. In particular, we have a great deal of security cooperation with this nation, and we naturally want to keep working with them.
