PM performs Umrah; prays for country’s progress

As a unique gesture, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif did Umrah and offered Nawafil inside the Kaaba on Monday upon being allowed entry into Baitullah.

The prime minister fulfilled his duties, including Tawaaf, or the circumambulation of the Kaaba, during his three-day visit to Saudi Arabia.

He prayed for world peace, the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and the advancement and prosperity of the nation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz prayed specifically for the release from oppression of the persecuted Muslims, especially those in Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The prime minister was accompanied by the members of the federal cabinet and the chief minister of Punjab.
In the meantime, the international community has been urged by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to put an end to Israeli military operations.
