On Friday, President Asif Ali Zardari received a briefing from General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), regarding the nation’s security status and the military’s readiness for operations.
According to a news release from the President’s House, the CJCSC also emphasised during the meeting that the nation’s armed forces were capable of handling both domestic and external security threats.
President Zardari praised the armed forces of Pakistan for their contributions to the nation’s socioeconomic progress as well as their role in guarding the country’s borders.
He declared his total faith in the nation’s security forces to effectively navigate both domestic and external security problems.
