During a visit with Khawaja Muhammad Asif, the Minister of Defence, on Friday, Japanese Ambassador Wada Mitsuhiro pledged that his country will continue to support Pakistan and look into new opportunities for cooperation.
According to a press release, the Minister of Defence stated that the foundation of Pakistan-Japan diplomatic, military, and economic ties is mutual trust and goodwill.
He hoped that Japan will invest in the maritime and industrial manufacturing sectors, as well as help Pakistan develop its economy.
The Minister also applauded the Japanese government’s efforts to organise regular Pakistan-Japan Politico-Military and Military to Military Dialogues, noting that these exchanges are a tangible manifestation of both nations’ determination to strengthen their military cooperation.
