Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated that Pakistan and Iran have historically had close bilateral relations that are founded on their common values, cultures, and religions as well as their proximity to one another.
According to a news release, he reiterated his commitment to providing parliamentary support to further strengthen these connections by promoting collaboration in trade, energy, commerce, and particularly by fostering synergy between the private sectors of both countries.
The speaker made these remarks at a meeting at Parliament House with the Iranian Parliamentary Delegation, which was led by Dr Reza Amiri Moghaddam, the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, and Mahdi Safari, the deputy foreign minister for economic diplomacy.
The speaker acknowledged that there are many prospects for both countries to increase trade and business, but she also emphasised the necessity for streamlining private sector cooperation.
