President presented farewell guard of honour

At the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday, President Dr. Arif Alvi received a guard of honour as his tenure came to an end. The departing president reviewed the guard of honour, which was  presented by the well-groomed military contingents. The president stood at the saluting dais as the national anthem was played. He later shook hands with the Aiwan-e-Sadr’s officers and employees as well. The farewell guard of honour was presented one day prior to  Saturday’s next presidential election.  On September 9, 2018, Dr. Arif Alvi took the oath of office as  Pakistan’s thirteenth president.
