PTI is not anti-military: Imran

Detained Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), backed a recent statement made by the Pakistan Army’s senior brass in relation to an investigation into the violent incidents on May 9 and said that his party was not against the armed forces. The Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC), chaired by General   Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), had promised the  previous day that those responsible for the May 9 attacks on  military installations and the planning, instigation, abetting, and  desecrating of martyrs’ monuments would undoubtedly face justice. In an unofficial meeting with reporters at Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail,  the former prime minister declared: “I support the CCC’s  declaration.” The perpetrators of the May 9 incidents ought to face harsh  penalties.
