The National Assembly Secretariat declared on Thursday that the National Assembly’s Sunday, March 3, will see the election of the Leader of the House (Prime Minister). The National Assembly’s Legislation Branch would be the source of the nomination papers for the prime minister position, and they would be accepted until 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, following the timetable published by the NA Secretariat. On the same day (Saturday), the nomination papers will be scrutinised by 3 p.m. A division of members in the House would be used to conduct the prime ministerial election. According to the Constitution, “bells” within the Parliament House will ring for five minutes prior to the start of the prime ministerial election process.
