Murad Ali Shah elected as Sindh’s CM for third consecutive time —‘We expect PTI to play positive role,’ says CM Murad

Murad Ali Shah, member of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), was elected chief minister of Sindh by the Sindh Assembly on Monday. This would be his third consecutive term in the role. With 148 assembly members casting ballots, Murad defeated Ali  Khurshidi of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) with 112 votes, becoming the 25th chief minister of Sindh. Ali  Khurshidi received just 36 votes. Murad Ali Shah, the recently elected chief minister of Sindh, stated he anticipated the PTI will contribute positively to the provincial  assembly. “We are never scared of criticism, no one is perfect […] but if you don’t criticise, then how would we learn?” he added, addressing the  PTI-backed MPAs in the assembly.
