The verdict in the contempt of court case against Islamabad Deputy Commissioner (DC) Irfan Nawaz Memon and other top officers was reserved by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday. On March 1, the contempt case’s reserved verdict will be made public. An IHC judge named Babar Sattar heard the contempt case brought against Islamabad DC. The DC Islamabad’s unconditional apologies was rejected by the court, and the DC was also barred from travelling overseas. The DC Islamabad has been given a deadline by the court to respond to the showcase notice by Monday. DC Islamabad claimed he was supposed to give a pilgrimage and so did not appear before the court in the contempt of court case yesterday, Tuesday. Irfan Nawaz, DC Islamabad, also claimed to have appeared in court.
