Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has asked that Sikandar Sultan Raja, the “controversial” Chief Election Commissioner, resign from his position due to his “failure” to halt “election rigging.” After meeting with the party founder in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail, PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan told reporters, “In light of Khan sahib’s directives, PTI demands him [CEC Raja] to step down immediately.” Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), urged that the election results be released by the polling officials in accordance with Form 45. This is because, according to some parties, there were differences in the results based on Form 47. He remembered how the shocking disclosures made by the former commissioner of Rawapindi cast doubt on the elections’ transparency and highlighted how “non-transparent” elections may jeopardise Pakistan’s IMF agreement.
