Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), asked voters on Thursday to give him a majority in the National Assembly so that he could lead the nation out of challenges, but he ruled out the idea of creating a coalition administration. Following his vote in the province capital today with his daughter and the head of the party’s organising committee, Maryam Nawaz, the three-time prime minister made these remarks. Leader of the Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party Awn Chaudhry accompanied him. Nawaz, running from NA-130, advised voters to cast ballots because stability in the nation can only be brought about by a one-party majority. “To see the day where we are now, we made sacrifices. This culture of cruelty and decency must be eradicated.”
