The Israeli army reported on Tuesday that 24 troops had died in  Gaza the previous day, the highest number of deaths in single day since the combat campaign began on October 27. According to military spokesman Daniel Hagari, 21 troops lost their lives when rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) explosion struck tank close to two  buildings where they were conducting an operation. The remark was shown on television. According to him, the attack happened on Monday at approximately p.m. (1400 GMT), and the victims were all reservists. Hagari claimed that two adjacent two-story buildings exploded after an RPG was fired at tank guarding  the soldiers. “The majority of the force was inside and near it, but the buildings  collapsed as result of this explosion,” he said.
