Pak, Iran diplomats emphasise dialogue, brotherhood

Hours after Pakistan launched military operations inside Iran to  target terrorists’ hideouts, the ambassadors of Pakistan and Iran  held “some positive exchanges,” emphasising constructive  communication and the rebuilding of confidence. Pakistan killed several terrorists of Pakistani descent on Thursday  morning by hitting their hideouts in the Iranian province of Siestan-o-Baluchistan, in series of “highly complex” and “specifically  targeted” precision military attacks. The day before, Pakistan took measures in response to an alleged  “blatant breach of Pakistan’s sovereignty” and violation of  international law by the Iranian side in its airspace. In addition to drawing criticism from around the globe, the events  forced Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and Interim Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani to  cancel their respective foreign trips to Uganda and Switzerland.
