The Pakistani Election Commission (ECP) has issued warning, stating that if orders to  alter the electoral symbols previously given to candidates continue  to come in, the polls may need to be postponed. The ECP noted in statement that electoral emblems were being  altered through number of venues, without mentioning any court. The ECP stated that it had already given the three printing  companies the order to produce ballots, and that the printing process had begun the day before after the election symbols were assigned. There is concern that the election may be delayed if the process of  changing the symbols for the vote proceeds as planned since ballot  papers will need to be reproduced, which will take time away from the already short election day.
