RAWALPINDI: According to the military’s media wing, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir pledged on Tuesday to work towards independence and cutting-edge technology, “which is essential towards ensuring reliability and strengthening Pakistan’s defence.” Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reports that during the army chief’s visit to Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Wah, he stated that local and indigenous businesses like POF Wah define the way forward for the country. COAS Munir received an overview of Pakistan Ordnance Factories’ (POF) production capacity, its role in supplying the Pakistan Armed Forces’ defence needs, and its export potential.
