The Ministry of Industries and Production will oversee the entire  process, and the National Fertiliser Marketing Limited (NFML) will guarantee a fair price for the commodity, according to a mechanism for the weighted average price of urea that was approved by the  Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Tuesday. This decision was made during a lengthy discussion of a summary of the Ministry of Industries and Production’s request for approval of a mechanism for the sale of locally manufactured urea at a “basket  price” alongside imported urea, which was presided over by  Minister for Finance, Revenue, and Economic Affairs Dr. Shamshad Akhtar.
