On Tuesday, Muhammad Sami Saeed, the Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, met with a prominent business delegation from China, headed by Li Ting, the Chairman of the Chang Chinag Chamber of Commerce. According to a news release, the two parties explored new investment opportunities and possible areas of cooperation between China and Pakistan in addition to encouraging corporate expansion. The delegation, which consisted of eight individuals, represented a variety of businesses, including machinery, electronics, import and export, office supplies, clothing, and building materials. The talks focused on fortifying the two countries’ relationship and pinpointing key areas for cooperative ventures. Key investment industries, such as agriculture, energy, mines and minerals, and information technology and telecommunications, were highlighted by Minister Sami Saeed.
