The military’s media wing stated on Sunday that security forces killed at least five terrorists on Saturday night during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Mashkai area of the Awaran district, Balochistan. Security forces carried out the IBO in response to reports of terrorist activity, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Five terrorists were dispatched to hell during the operation following a fierce firefight between the terrorists and the own troops. Along with the terrorists’ hideout being discovered, a cache of weapons, ammo, and explosives was also found, according to the ISPR. It stated that the purpose of the sanitization operation was to get rid of any further terrorists that might be in the region. According to the military’s media wing, Pakistan’s security services are committed to preventing attempts to undermine peace, in line with the country.
