Aneeq Ahmed, the federal minister for religious affairs, emphasised on Thursday the importance of educating young people in order to foster interfaith harmony in society. He was speaking at a seminar called “Religious Minorities and Interfaith Harmony, Social Tolerance in Pakistan,” which was part of an initiative to raise awareness among young people in higher education. It was organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in association with NED University of Engineering and Technology. Speaking at the seminar were academics, religious scholars, and intellectuals who emphasised the importance of fostering virtues like peace, tolerance, and respect for one another’s views. According to Aneeq Ahmed, the federal minister, every Muslim in the globe has a deep affection for Allah, His Rasool S.A.W., and their religion is an integral part of their lives.
