On Tuesday, President Dr. Arif Alvi declared that Pakistan would advance and grow and that self-sufficiency is a prerequisite for success in the global arena. Speaking as the chief guest at the 35th Convocation of the Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC) at the Baharia Auditorium in this city, he stated that Pakistan had an abundance of brains and that the world currently required it. There were also Commander Karachi Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem and Lt General (R) Mehmood, Rector of the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). A total of 368 graduates, including international students, received bachelor’s and graduate degrees during the convocation. In addition, the President gave the pupils 39 medals for their exceptional work.
