Under the direction of Dr. Gohar Ejaz, the caretaker minister for commerce, the Export Advisory Council (EAC) convened here on Friday to set the framework for Pakistan’s $100 billion export vision. According to a news release here, the council took into consideration plans to increase domestic exports to $50 billion within the next five years. The minister expressed optimism that Pakistan’s textile exports could exceed $50 billion with coordinated efforts and strategic initiatives, making a substantial contribution to the economic progress of the nation. He emphasised that Pakistan could be able to reduce its debt load and get a competitive edge in the international market by implementing a strong export strategy.
