Election schedule to be issued in ‘few days’: CEC

The calendar for the general elections in 2023 will be released in a  few days, according to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikander  Sultan Raja. The general election preparations are now under way. The CEC stated in a statement in honour of National Voters Day  that the Election Commission is fully aware of its legal and  constitutional obligations. “Completely ready and dedicated to hold free and fair elections,” he continued. He claimed that the printing and distribution of electoral rolls had  been finished, and the organisation in charge of organising the polls is now busily preparing for the election. A notification regarding the employment of election personnel, such as returning officers (Ros) and district returning officers (DROs),  will be sent out in a few days, according to CEC Raja.
