The first-ever Pakistan-Qatar IT Conference got underway at the JW Marriott Marquis City Centre in Doha, Qatar, with enthusiastic participation from leading Pakistani IT companies and regional enterprises in Qatar. Dr. Umar Saif, the acting federal minister for information technology and telecommunication, presided over the inauguration ceremony. According to a news release received here on Sunday, Dr. Umar Saif showcased Pakistan’s technology capabilities to a broad audience at the conference that included government executives and corporate leaders in Qatar. With the goal of boosting Pakistan’s IT exports and taking advantage of the significant untapped prospects in the area, this event is the first trip of an IT delegation from Pakistan to Qatar.
