700 Palestinians killed in Gaza in last 24 hours: govt

Over 700 Palestinians have lost their lives in Gaza in the past 24 hours, according to the director general of the Government Media Office in Gaza, who made this announcement to international media. He continued by saying that the Gaza Strip has seen the displacement of over 1.5 million people. Israel escalates its attacks on Gaza as appeals for a truce are made internationally. According to FRANCE 24’s Luke Shrago in Tel Aviv, Israel  unleashed hundreds of strikes against what it called “Hamas  infrastructure targets” on Saturday night and Sunday. As they expand their offensive into southern Gaza, Israeli soldiers claim to have struck munitions storage facilities, command centres, and tunnels. As a result, Hamas officials have begun to update their fatality tolls.
