Murtaza Solangi, the federal minister for information, broadcasting, and parliamentary affairs, stated on Tuesday that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will carry out its constitutional mandate to hold fair, transparent, and impartial elections, and the government will back it. Speaking with media representatives here, he stated that the Constitution contained 280 provisions in total, including Article 254 and the provision requiring elections every 90 days. “Everyone in Pakistan has freedom to express opinion, complain and criticise,” Solangi said.
