Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, the prime minister’s special representative on religious harmony and the Pakistani diaspora in the Middle East and Islamic countries, emphasised the benefits of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and the improving economic situation in Pakistan on Tuesday. He attributed this progress to the cooperative efforts of Arab and Islamic countries. In remarks to the Arab and national press, he said that positive things were coming out of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and other friendly countries after the significant financial deals with the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Ashrafi, who also holds the position of chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, recognised that the confidence of friendly nations and the devoted work of Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir enabled foreign investment in Pakistan.
