Taliban minister raises issue of refugee assets with FM Jilani

This week in Islamabad, the acting minister of commerce for  Afghanistan met with Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani to talk  about trade and the possibility of the thousands of Afghan residents that Pakistan is driving out being able to return home with money  and other assets. Less than week had passed since acting prime minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar blamed the Taliban regime in Afghanistan for the recent uptick in terrorist acts, claiming it was response to the deportation campaign. He had claimed that “no actions were taken against the anti-Pakistan groups” in spite of pledges from the Afghan government  that it would combat terrorism. However, Taliban representatives argue that militancy is domestic issue in Pakistan and have urged Islamabad to stop deporting Afghan nationals.
