Jamal Shah, the acting federal minister in charge of national culture and heritage, stated on Thursday that Dr. Allama Iqbal was well-versed in Islam and greatly profited from the final discourse of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Speaking at a ceremony organised at Aiwan-i-Iqbal here to commemorate Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s birth anniversary, he described Iqbal as a bright scholar and a true visionary. He stated, “Allama Iqbal interprets Islam in a way that enlightens all of us.” He was a well-known poet with very deep and flowing poems.
