Army officer among four soldiers martyred in KP

During an intelligence-base operation (IBO) in Khyber District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Pakistan Army’s Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider  and three other soldiers were martyred in gunfight with the terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations announced on Monday. Three militants were killed and three others were injured during the IBO carried out by the security forces under the command of        Lt-Col Haider in the Tirah. “During the conduct of the operation, own troops led by Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider, effectively engaged the  terrorists’ location as result of which three terrorists were sent to  hell, while three terrorists got injured,” the media arm of the  military said.

The soldiers martyred in the operation were identified as Naik Khushdil Khan, 31, from Lakki Marwat District; Naik Rafique Khan, 27, from Charsadda District; and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir, 33, from District Murree.

The ISPR also said that the security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve

Sanitisation operation is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area, it added.
