REC Group of Pakistan and a well-known Chinese firm, TGOOD, inked a memorandum of understanding in Beijing with the intention of promoting environmentally friendly electric cars (EVs) in Pakistan. China Economic Net (CEN) reported on Thursday that Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, the chairman of the Pakistani Senate, attended the signing ceremony with a delegation from Pakistan. According to Chairman Sanjrani, this cooperation has produced a strategic alliance that is in line with China’s sustainable green development goals from the 3rd Belt and Road Forum. The alliance addresses topics like the development of EV charging infrastructure, the manufacture of EVs, hydrogen filling station infrastructure, battery production and recycling methods, and hydrogen vehicle technologies. In Pakistan, transport is a significant source of pollution, hence switching to alternate fuels is essential.
