Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the prime minister, has instructed the relevant agencies to step up their efforts to ensure that the general public benefits from the drop in fuel prices. Today, he presided over a conference in Islamabad to discuss the steps being taken to improve public welfare in the wake of the drop in petroleum product prices. Additionally, the prime minister issued orders to deal sternly with hoarders, smugglers, and unlawful profiteers. He claimed that because the operation against smugglers and power pilferers directly helped the average person, it had produced favourable outcomes. According to the Prime Minister, the rupee’s stability vs the US currency and the drop in fuel prices have saved 41 billion rupees total, which would assist the average person.
