Murtaza Solangi, the acting federal minister for information and broadcasting, stated on Friday that Pakistan wished to advance media collaboration with Britain. Meeting with Miss Zoe Ware, Political Counsellor at the British High Commission, topics covered included relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, hate speech, disinformation removal, cooperation in the media, and the UNDP’s Safe Digital Environment Programme. According to the minister, Pakistan places a great importance on its ties with Britain. The minister stated that elections will take place on schedule and that the Pakistani Election Commission will release the polling date while briefing the British Political Consul about the country’s election-related activities.
