UN chief says ‘horrified’ by Gaza hospital strike

United States and United Nations: Antonio Guterres, the secretary-general of the United Nations, said on social media that he was  “horrified” by the horrific attack on a Gaza hospital that claimed at least 500 lives. “My thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ families. International humanitarian law provides protection for hospitals  and medical professionals,” Guterres stated in the message posted on X, the previous Twitter platform. In a statement issued immediately after, Guterres denounced an  attack that claimed six lives on a UN-run school in a Gaza refugee camp.The hospital strike is Israel’s  fault, according to the Palestinian organisation Hamas.
