Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the acting prime minister, denied on Thursday that Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League, had made a decision to return to his home country as part of an agreement with the transitional administration. “The PML-N or any other political party has ‘no soft corner’ in the interim administration.“How can a caretaker government accomplish such a deal?” he said in a conversation with WE (World Echo) News, a digital media platform. In response to a query on the PML-N chief’s impending return to Pakistan on October 21, the prime minister said that he had taken a plane yesterday from London to Saudi Arabia.
Nawaz Sharif departed the country in accordance with a court ruling, Kakar noted, “under the nose of Imran Khan’s government, and not the caretaker setup.” He did, however, state that Nawaz Sharif would encounter certain legal challenges should he decide to return to politics. “Legal remedies contain the answers to these legal questions,” he declared. According to Kakar, every leader, including Asif Ali Zardari, Nawaz Sharif, and Imran Khan, must pursue the appropriate legal action based on their unique circumstances. According to him, Pakistan is witnessing the emergence of “regimental camps” and has become a battlefield for political contests.
