KARACHI: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Wednesday met Interim Sindh Chief Minister Maqbool Baqir and assured him of the federal government’s all-out support to run the province’s administrative affairs.
In the meeting, the chief minister apprised the prime minister of the administrative affairs of the province and the issues being faced by the caretaker government.
They reiterated their resolve to cooperate with the Election Commission of Pakistan for holding free and fair elections.
Meanwhile, A delegation comprising the leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Wednesday called on Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar here.
The members of the delegation apprised the prime minister of the problems confronting Sindh particularly Karachi.
The delegation consisted of Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Qaim Ali Shah, Syed Murad Ali Shah and Saeed Ghani.
The prime minister assured the delegation that his government would utilise maximum resources for early resolution of the issues.
The PPP delegation congratulated the prime minister on assuming the office and expressed good wishes for him.
Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi also attended the meeting.
Moreover, Renowned Actor Zahir Lehri on Wednesday called on Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq here and apprised him of the problems faced by the artists in Balochistan.
The prime minister assured the government’s full cooperation to the artists.
The actor congratulated the prime minister on assuming the office and expressed good wishes for him.
The prime minister thanked the actor for the gesture.
Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi also attended the meeting.
