PML-N supremo to return Pakistan before election campaign: Musadiq

ISLAMABAD: Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the supreme leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), and the former prime minister will return to the nation before the election campaign, according to Dr. Musadik Malik, minister of state for petroleum.

Speaking to the media, he asserted that the party was completely ready to run in the election and that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was the only capable leader capable of leading the nation out of its current difficulties. Nawaz Sharif, he added, is still the most well-liked leader in Pakistan, and he will put the nation back on its feet. He claimed that Pakistan always advanced under his leadership in every field.

Replying a question, he said that PML-N led government was making strenuous efforts to preserve economic stability and move the economy towards growth, adding, the revival of IMF program will now give breathing space to Pakistan and the country will be able to get loans from multilateral financial institutions and trust of the international community will also be increased.

To another question, he said that economic reforms are very important for a country’s economic survival and that signing a staff-level agreement with IMF is a great success of government policy and measures.

Meanwhile, Senior Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Muhammad Zubair on Tuesday called for better tax policies and said that joint efforts of national institutions were necessary for strong economic stability.

Talking to media, he said that instead of aid, the country needs foreign direct investment and trade opportunities, and exports should be promoted to improve the country’s economy.

He said that the IMF program was essential for Pakistan’s economy and development, it would bring financial discipline to the economy and foreign investors would also be more willing to invest in various sectors of Pakistan’s economy.

In response to a question, he said that inflation will come down soon and economic activities will also be restored.

In response to a question, he said that both the government and the opposition were responsible and it was a joint responsibility to bring the country back on track with economic stability, joint efforts and long-term policies are the need of the hour.
