Fawad Chaudhry, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), declared on Sunday that the fascist government’s days were numbered. Fawad compared the first year of the PDM coalition government to a long, dark night that was imposed on the populace to cloud Pakistan’s promising future.
The PTI leader claimed that the struggle of the populace against that pitch-black night was a metaphor for brightness. He declared that, God willing, this long night would soon come to an end and that the people would gain control. Earlier, PTI senior leader Fawad Chaudhry claimed during a press conference that Maryam Nawaz Sharif, senior vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), wanted to see prime minister Shehbaz Sharif disqualified.
Mr Chaudhry lambasted the incumbent government for tabling the resolution against the Supreme Court’s (SC) ruling, saying that by tabling the resolution in the National Assembly against the apex court’s verdict, the decision will not be changed.
Firing a broadside at the coalition government for “not being willing to contest elections”, Mr Chaudhry said, “The constitution states that elections should be held within 90 days after the dissolution of assembly. But the government is not following the constitution of the country. The rulers believe they should take away the right of the people to vote.”
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to issue a white paper against the one-year tenure of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)-led government.
It was learnt that PTI chairman Imran Khan will issue the white paper against the coalition government. The former prime minister will release the points of the white paper in a video link address.
A whitepaper is a persuasive in-depth report on a specific topic that presents a problem and provides a solution. The white paper to be released by PTI will highlight the poor governance of the ruling parties, the oppression of the government and other issues. On April 9 last year, Imran Khan was ousted as the Prime Minister of Pakistan after the opposition parties succeeded in no-confidence move against him.
