Deputy Commissioner Syed Mashad Raza Qazmi vows stern action against wheat hoarders

Lodhran: District Administration Lodhran and Food department Lodhran Successful joint action against Smugglers, the smuggled wheat was taken into official custody at Basti Maluk check post. Under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner Lodhran Syed Mashad Raza Qazmi, the wheat was taken into official custody and unloaded. Lodhran Food Department has started regular action against wheat smugglers. According to details, 10,000 bags of wheat loaded on 9 trucks were being illegally smuggled at Basti Maluk check post.

The deputy commissioner said that the value of the seized wheat is around Rs 12 crore. He said that this wheat was being smuggled to Peshawar through middlemen. He further said that there is complete ban on illegal movement of wheat. The Deputy Commissioner said that concrete action will be taken against those hoarding wheat. He said that strict bridges have been installed on the entrance and exit routes of the district. Assistant Commissioner Ashraf Saleh, District Food Controller Zaheer Mayo, Assistant Food Controller Muhammad Humayun were also present on this occasion.
