Multan: Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir has said that strict measures are being taken for the security and peace of the saint city during the month of fasting. In this regard, the district peace committee has resolved to spread the message of religious tolerance and brotherhood; It has also been decided to deal with iron hands with the help of the committee, business community and scholars. These views were expressed by CPO Mansoor ul Haq Rana while presiding over the peace committee meeting yesterday. Additional Deputy Commissioner General Abida Farid was also present. Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhri, Allama Farooq Khan Saeedi, Professor Mazhar Gilani Ali Raza Gardazi, Muzeen Chawan, Asghar Naqvi, Khawar Bhutta, Mazhar Javed and business representatives also participated in the peace committee meeting. Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir said that there will be strict security on the occasion of the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali Karamullah on 21st Ramadan, while arrangements have been made for lights and repairs on the routes of congregations and rallies. CPO Mansoor ul Haq Rana said that the police will make fool-proof arrangements throughout the district regarding the 21st of Ramadan and strict accountability will be given to the persons and guilty of mischief and incitement. Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhri and scholars said in his address that there is no place for division in the name of religion in the dear country. Every class has discouraged those who disturb peace and order. A special prayer was also offered for forgiveness.
