ISLAMABAD: The UAE’s ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salim Al-Zaabi, acknowledged the current government’s development-oriented economic policies in Pakistan and expressed the UAE’s interest in boosting and advancing investment in various economic sectors. In a meeting with Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Finance and Revenue, the UAE ambassador discussed ways to deepen the already close ties between the two nations. According to a press release from the Ministry of Finance, he also touched on ways to develop and strengthen Pakistan’s and the UAE’s economic and financial ties.
Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister said that Pakistan and the UAE are engaged in various areas including energy, refinery, petroleum and trade, however, still, a lot remains unexplored and highlighted various avenues in which both countries can enhance their existing trade and investment relations.Senator Ishaq Dar welcomed the investment proposals of the UAE in Pakistan and extended full support and cooperation by the government.
