Multan: Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir and CPO Mansoor-ul- Haq Rana visited the under construction building of South Punjab Sub-Secretariat yesterday and took a briefing on the project. On this occasion, the construction agency IDEP also gave a detailed briefing on the project. Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir directed that the project will provide direct relief to millions of residents of this region; the Punjab Government has provided ample funds to complete the project within the stipulated time period. Umar Jahangir directed that a weekly report on the progress of the project should be submitted. CPO Mansoor-ul- Haq Rana also conducted a detailed audit of the security of the site and issued orders to implement. Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir has said that due to heavy rush, arrangements are being made for the immediate supply of free flour under the Ramadan package, faced difficulties, but so far 4 lakh bags of flour have been provided in Multan district. Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir said that more IT personnel of the district departments have been deployed for persons at free flour points, thereby controlling the rush. He expressed these views yesterday while addressing the Incharges and staff of the centers in Raza Hall. The Deputy Commissioner said that due to the heavy rush of the people, the scanning counters have been doubled at all the centers.
