Punjab Livestock Department Secretary Masood Anwar stresses for bringing innovation in livestock sector

Uch Sharif: Secretary Livestock Punjab Masood Anwar directed to bring innovation in the Livestock sector throughout Punjab including Multan.  Secretary Livestock Punjab Masood Anwar met with Senior Working Journalist Khalid Shaikh and said that improvement and innovation in the Livestock Department is the most important need of the hour. All divisions and districts should prepare a review report on the exports and business efficiency of the Livestock Department so that comprehensive planning can be done.  Help will be provided by the Livestock Secretary, who gave instructions and said that no lapse will be tolerated. He further said that it is the need of the hour to register local breeds of cattle on genetic basis, inclusive of technologies like IVF and Embryo Transfer.  The plan will have to be arranged. Secretary Livestock while issuing instructions said that a departmental communication strategy should be prepared and a full awareness campaign should be conducted with the help of print and electronic media.  A campaign is being carried out that local teams are being formed at the district level.
