WASA MD Choudhry Muhammad Danish issues high alert due to heavy rains

Multan: Heavy rain started in Multan from Thursday night, Managing Director WASA Choudhry Muhammad Danish issued a high alert in Wasa and called all the officers and staff of the sewerage, disposal station divisions to drain the rainwater in their respective areas. Meanwhile, Managing Director Wasa Choudhry Muhammad Danish along with Director Works Arif Abbas visited different areas of the city and checked the drainage arrangements and inspected the working of the disposal station to keep the officers on high alert and complete the drainage operation. He ordered to ensure the presence in the field and directed the timely drainage of rain water from the low-lying areas including the important highways and metro routes. Directed all the disposal stations to run at full capacity also directed to run the disposal stations on generators during load shedding, Director Works meanwhile MD Wasa also presented a report regarding rain. According to the report Chungi No.9 Disposal Station at 40mm, 37 mm of rain was recorded on Old Shujaabad Road while 39 mm of rain was recorded at Kari Jamandan Disposal.
