In this regard, heavy fines and legal action have also been initiated against those who throw garbage and debris on the highways. Chief Executive Officer Shahid Yaqub ordered the enforcement cell to be activated as soon as he took charge. The enforcement cell, headed by in-charge enforcement cell Faheem Lodhi, yesterday issued notices to more than 10 contractors and shopkeepers who littered the roads and footpaths.
