In an unannounced visit to the free wheat flour distribution centers in Kasur and here in Lahore, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instructed the relevant authorities to ensure a hassle-free and continuous supply of the good to the eligible population.
In accordance with the Ramzan Package, which the government announced, free wheat flour is being distributed throughout Punjab and the federal capital in an effort to lessen the burden of inflation on low- and middle-income households. The prime minister interacted with the people at the distribution centers while being accompanied by Advisor Ahad Cheema and Special Assistant to the PM Malik Ahmad Khan. He heard about the issues they were having and gave orders to address them right away. He gave the necessary orders for the distribution of free flour to continue.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also inspected the process of flour supply with the officials checking the particulars of the people before guiding them to the distribution point.
As per the plan, around 15.8 million households of Punjab province would be distributed wheat flour, free of charge during the Holy Ramzan. It is for the first time in country’s history that a package for distribution of free wheat flour has been prepared.
The wheat flour would continue till 25th of Ramazan through 8,500 Utility Stores. Moreover, around 20,000 flour distribution points have also been set up to facilitate the people.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Friday said young entrepreneurs, who despite difficult circumstances kept their spirits high and were launching businesses, were an inspiration and a proud asset for Pakistan.
While referring to the life journey of Imran Khan Hara – a young entrepreneur from Balochistan, he said in: “An inspirational story of a young man from Balochistan, who didn’t allow his circumstances to dampen his spirits of entrepreneurship. Launching a start-up of Balochi handicrafts that are a feast for the art lovers, he has shown how talented our youth are. A proud asset for Pakistan.”
The PM also shared a video of Imran Khan, who sells traditional Balochi handicrafts and has recently set up a stall of his colourful products including bags at the Islamabad Literary Festival.
