Asad Malik gets bail for weapon possession with expired license

Renowned actor Asad Malik was released on bail on Tuesday after paying 50,000 Rupee for carrying a weapon with expired license.

The Airport Security Force (ASF) had taken famed TV actor Asad Malik in their custody on Monday from the Lahore airport for carrying automated weapon, it was reported.

According to the Airport Security Forces (ASF) sources, Malik, who was travelling from Lahore to Karachi, was taken into custody after an automatic weapon was recovered from his luggage during checking before boarding the flight.

The weapon’s license was expired, the sources added.

Earlier it was erroneously reported that actor Asad Malik was detained for possession of illegal weapon but Mr. Malik clarified to Business News that weapon was legal, only the license was found expired. That news piece has been withdrawn and amended according to Asad Malik’s clarification.
