Multan: A team of experts from the Strategic Export Control Division (SECDIV) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Multan in which Rehan Akram Director, Musawar Ali Deputy Director and Umair Saeed Deputy Director team were included l. During the meeting, they informed about Pakistan’s strategic export control system. A presentation and detailed follow-up discussion took place among potential exporters to understand the domestic export control system. The team emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to implementing export controls on goods, technology, materials and equipments related to the Nuclear and Biological Weapons and Delivery System Act-2004 (SECA-2004). Mian Rashid Iqbal, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Multan appreciated the strategic export control system awareness session and emphasized the need for the delegation to communicate with the Chamber on a regular basis. In response to a question, Mr. Musawar Ali said that exporters can promote business in accordance with international rules and regulations by getting information about the list of prohibited items through online tools. Senior Vice President of the House, Syed Saqib Ali, Muneeb Arshad Sheikh, Aurangzeb Alamgir and Assistant Secretary Sajid Ansari were also present on the occasion.
