Multan: Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir has said that the supply of free flour under the Ramadan relief package has been accelerated, more than 8 lakh people of the district will be provided with 3 bags free of cost in 24 days for this purpose. The distribution points have also been increased by the district administration for the acquisition. He expressed these views while visiting various distribution points including the sports ground point. The Deputy Commissioner met the citizens and also redressed the complaints regarding their flour supply. Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir said that due to heavy rush; the counters for scanning the ID cards of the citizens have also been doubled. At 36 points of the district, flour supply is being started in the morning and the data of the registered citizens of the Benazir Income Support Program. Umar Jahangir said that more than 34 free flour points have been established across the district where only citizens registered in the Benazir Income Support Program can receive flour. The Deputy Commissioner said that shady places and water has also been arranged. Every citizen will be able to get 3 bags of flour in 24 days, with which the citizens are getting direct relief from the historic package of the Punjab Government. Staff Reporter
